A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
The 2005/06 school year is off to a great start.  Students and teachers are hard at work.   All kindergarten- fifth grade students have been assessed using the Dibels test and third graders have completed the Ohio Reading Achievement Test.  I know the kids did their best!
As always, thank you parents for the support you show our kids, teachers, and school!  We recognize how important school/home communication is to our childrens' success and have included voice mail extensions and email addresses to help foster this communication.
Email teachers by using their first initial followed by their last name @barberton.summit.k12.oh.us

SELF-CONTROL
The word for the month of December is Self-Control.  This word and the following quotes are used throughout our teachings:  "Think before you act", "Today's self-control determines tomorrow's achievement" and "Self-control is doing what you know is right even when no one else is watching".

OUTSTANDING CITIZENS
Woodford School recognizes students that are outstanding citizens.  These students are selected by their teacher because they are kind, trustworthy, respectful, responsible, thankful, fair, caring, cooperative and use self-control.  Outstanding citizens are recognized on the morning announcements, receive a citizenship charm and certificate, have their photos displayed on the hall bulletin board and have a letter of recognition sent to their home.  Please stop in to see our Outstanding Citizens on the hallway bulletin board by the office.
