Wednesday - AM Only

 Services provided by the elementary school counselor:

1)  Consult with staff, parents, and students in order to meet student needs academically, socially, and emotionally.

2)  Intervention Assistance Team (IAT) member:

***Conference with parents and staff

***Administer screening tests to students with
suspected learning difficulties

***Assist with Multi-Factored Evaluations (MFE)

3)  Provide community resources and information to parents, students, and staff:

***Hope for the Holidays
***Esther Ryan Shoe Fund
***Child Guidance Center and other community    agencies
***Summit County Children Services (CSB) 

4)  Classroom guidance:

***Red Ribbon Week - drug prevention program

 ***Character Education - citizenship, respect, responsibility, self-control, thankfulness, fairness, caring, trustworthiness, cooperation. 

***Conflict Resolution -

        Small Group Guidance

        Anger Management

        Divorce

        Friendship

        Self-Esteem

        Individual Guidance

        Kids Who Care Committee Advisor     

        This committee is comprised of 4th and

        5th graders.  We handle a majority of the

        charitable activities within the building, 

        run the school supply store, and provide

        the staff with monthly motivators to show

        how much we appreciate them!
